Seminyak is the most fashionable beach resort on the southern end of Bali, with abundant luxury hotels, villas and spas, as well as high-end shopping, fashion stores and top dining spots with international chefs cooking up world class cuisine .

Sleek bars and clubs with busy sunset scenes line Seminyak and Petitenget beaches, which are wide, west-facing stretches of Indian Ocean shoreline with gray sand and good surfing conditions.

After the sunset a livelier nighlife and entertainment scene takes over.

 

Canggu is more a state of mind than a place, it's the catch-all name given to the villa-filled stretch of land between Kerobokan and Echo Beach. It's a popular area both to stay and for day trips from other parts of Bali, more relaxing atmosphere of dining, cultural and beach activities.

A stretch of about 1km of Jl Pantai Berawa running near the Canggu Club is the de facto centre of Canggu.
